In 1973, Glenwood Autism and Behavioral Health Center began as a private, non-profit organization “devoted to providing treatment, education, and research in the area of children’s mental health.” Today, Glenwood touches the lives of over 8,000 people across the state, including Birmingham, Montgomery, and Huntsville.
Glenwood’s Holiday Pecan Sale was started in 1976 to benefit the Allan Cott School, Glenwood’s founding program and the first school in Alabama to offer educational and therapeutic services to children with autism.
