whistleGet started on that spring cleaning!  Clean out your house and your yard in preparation for Irondale’s annual “Clean as a Whistle” campaign between April 15 and 22, 2017.
During this week-long effort, you can get rid of unwanted items and put them at the curb.  City employees will then pick up the following materials left at the curb at your next regularly-scheduled pick-up times:

* Tree limbs/tree trunks (not from contractors)

* Bagged grass and leaves

* Paint cans (open and dry, Fill with dirt)

* Appliances

* Furniture

* Building materials (not from contractors)

Batteries, tires, and oil will NOT be collected.
Bags are available from the Irondale Public Works Department (951-1420) or from the Irondale Exchange Club.
Abandoned vehicles (those with an expired tag that have not been moved within 20 days) may be reported to the City Inspector for removal.  Call 956-9200 with the location of the vehicle.
Spread the word!  Lend a hand to help your elderly and handicapped neighbors clean their property.  Everyone get out those weed eaters, lawnmowers, rakes, and shrub clippers.  Clean out the basement and the garage. Show your civic pride by working together to keep Irondale “Clean as a Whistle.”
